Grasslands in Motion — Car and Wind

Grasslands National Park, Val Marie, Saskatchewan: Photographs create the illusion that time can be stopped and motion stilled. Even videos portray the myth that it's possible to seize a slice of Earth and freeze it.

Below, two short clips: The first, to remind me of grass in the wind, how it flows like an inland sea, how it waves, rolls, leaps and runs across the prairies. The second, to remind me that the land itself is never still.

Yes, the video below is taken through the window of a moving car, but outside the wind is moving, moving the grass and flowers, and the Earth itself is moving. Motion is life, moving, all.
